My husband took me here for our ten year anniversary for a quiet weekend on the river. Well, the owner came in and then let two groups of people who had just walked in way after us both get seated before us, then proceeded to tell three dirty hippies who were bragging about having been drinking all day take their drinks outside the bar (after the bartender told them they couldn't bring them outside the bar).The owner directed them to bring the drinks right outside the deck in front of our room (and the room above us).

Staff provided excellent and personal service. Own or manage this property? She was great, apologetic, but doesn't make up for the owner (who should probably get out of her employees' way).We went back to our room and were going to get a pizza next door and the three girls who had brought their drinks outside were right there, literally in front of our room drinking and smoking pot. All the while yet ANOTHER group of pot heads are heading to the spot in front of our room again with their drinks (which there are signs all over the place not to bring drinks outside the bar, but its clear this isn't enforced).At this point we realize we are going to spend our entire night surrounded by partiers, so we left. We told the bartender that was bringing us out that we wanted to settle up and wouldn't be eating there, as the owner had really irritated us. We wanted a nice quiet place for our anniversary and this proved to be the place! We waited well over an hour for our food to arrive. My husbands meal was beyond disappointing as well. This was super disappointing, especially given it was the first getaway we've had since we had kids.This place basically ruined our anniversary trip.We've been trying to get in contact with the owner and are being given the runaround. She won't call us back.We were told this is an awesome place to sit outside and enjoy drinks and a meal. It was a beautiful setting outside in the shade next to the river and our food was very good.

!We went here with friends; let me just start by saying how disappointed I was in the service. My husband and I stayed in the Goldmining room with jacuzzi tube and comfortable queen bed. After a day of outings we decided to relax back at the room and give it a second chance, and eat at the lodge rather than go all the way back to Jacksonville where we were spending most of our time. Nice deck outside the room overlooking the river.
